Prescription Policy

Prescription Requirement

Certain medical equipment sold by CPAP Cloud, Inc. requires a valid prescription in accordance with federal law and regulations enforced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

A valid prescription is required for the purchase of:

• CPAP Machines
• BiPAP / BiLevel Machines

CPAP Masks typically require a prescription when sold complete with headgear.

The following items generally do not require a prescription:

• Replacement mask parts
• CPAP masks without headgear
• Machine replacement parts
• Cleaning devices and supplies

CPAP Cloud, Inc. must have a valid prescription on file before shipping any prescription-required items.

Prescription Validity

A prescription may include terms such as:

• “Lifetime”
• “99 months”
• A specific expiration date
• A limited number of refills

Prescriptions marked “Lifetime” or “99 months” are generally considered valid for ongoing therapy unless otherwise restricted by law or insurance requirements.

Prescription Requirements

To be valid, a prescription must include:

• Patient’s full name
• Prescribing provider’s full name
• Provider’s contact information
• Provider’s signature (electronic or written)
• Provider’s NPI
• Date of issue
• Length of need (if applicable)

Machine Prescriptions Must Include:

• Type of device (e.g., CPAP, APAP, BiPAP, AutoSet, VPAP, etc.)
• Pressure settings or pressure range

Mask / Supply Prescriptions Must Include:

• CPAP mask and/or supplies (as applicable)

• CPAP Cloud, Inc. reserves the right to verify all prescriptions with the prescribing provider.
• Orders requiring a prescription will not be processed or shipped until a valid prescription is received and verified.
• Prescription requirements may vary based on state law, insurance, and Medicare guidelines.
